Therin has been with the PML since 2001 and is currently the Operations Manager of the Lab. He was born and raised in the four corners area of New Mexico and loves off-roading, cycling, and camping with his family. Therin originally came to BYU as a transfer student from what was then Ricks College. He has an Associates Degree in Welding Engineering Technology and a BS in Manufacturing Engineering Technology. He has 28 years of industrial shop experience working in industries such as construction, diesel engine repair, automotive production, welding and machining. He has owned and operated two businesses, and loves to invent new products (currently has two patents). Therin's specialty areas are product development, mechanical design, additive manufacturing, welding processes and tool design.
